The initiative is proving a huge hit with women of all ages who have either never played before or who have played the game in the past.

The idea of the new initiative is to introduce mothers to playing Ladies Gaelic Football. Mothers often drop their kids to training and call back to collect them, but the Ladies Gaelic Football Association wants to change that.

The initiative sees mothers playing Ladies Gaelic Football in a fun, non-competitive and social environment. Gaelic4Mothers provides an opportunity for women to get their recommended weekly exercise in a fun way while meeting other mothers in the area.

The initiative will bring a whole new social aspect to the club and also provide parents with an insight into the club scene.

Gaelic4Mothers is suitable for all those who wish to play, but at a non-competitive level, which may include past players who still have the boots under the stairs!

No prior knowledge of Gaelic Football is required,
no special equipment is needed,
no
long-term commitment is wanted!
Just YOU, a friend and an open mind!
