The match commenced at a great pace with both teams demonstrating great skill. Colaiste Dun Iascaigh put the first score on the board as Caoimhe Condon put a great point over the bar, followed by a point from Roisin Howard for Colaiste then a free awarded to Colaiste Dun Iascaigh as the ball fell across the goal and Roisin Howard found the back of the net followed by another great point by Aoife Corcoran for Colaiste. Then Abbie Scannell replied with a teriffic point for Loreto, then a great pass from Aisling Moloney to Roisin Howard and Roisin scored another great goal for Colaiste. Loreto were really putting on pressure some great passing of the ball between Karen Sheehan Maeve Ahern back to Karen then Maeve won a great free as Loreto kept the pressure on Saoirse Moore scored a good goal followed by a point for Loreto scored by Maeve Ahern then Colaiste came back with a lovely pass from Aisling Moloney to Roisin Howard who scored a great point followed by a great point from Kirsty Downey half time score Loreto 1-2, Colaiste 2-5
