Annual General meeting of Munster ladies Football Council 1982

The Annual General meeting of the Munster ladies Council was held at the Hibernian Hotel, Mallow on the 30 January 1982.

Attendance:
Diana Fenton, Mairead Ni Cheallachain, N McGrath, Anne Murray, John Power, Tom Braune, Neille McGrath, Ann Maher, Lilian Gorey, Marian Doherty, Marian O’Shea, Tony Riordan, Nealy Walsh.

Mick Fitzgerald presided.  Mary Twomey, Secretary.  The minutes of last year’s AGM were read and adapted.

Officers elected for 1982:
President:  Tony O’Riordan Kerry
Vice-President: Marian O’Shea Tipperary
Secretary:  Anne Murray  Waterford
Treasurer:  Marian O’Shea Tipperary
PRO:   Neilius Walsh  Cork

Motions

The following motions were passed.  Senior Championship matches be played on away and home basis if teams agreed on travelling.  Referees course to be held.

Club Championship Fixtures

Draws for Munster Club Championships were made as follows:

Slieve na mBan  v Dunhill 21 March
Castleisland  v Watergrasshill 14 March

Final to be fixed after above games.


Inter-Provincial Championship

Tony Riordan (Kerry), Lilian Gory (Tipperary) and Neilius Walsh (Cork) were appointed to select the Munster team for the inter-provincial championship.

The following is the Munster team:
Hilda O’Leary (Kerry), Eileen O’Connor (Kerry), Margaret Leahy (Tipperary), Marion Doherty (Kerry), Marion O’Shea (Tipperary), Paula Ryan (Tipperary), Mary Twomey (Kerry), Carmel Ring (Cork), Lilian Gorey (Tipperary), Eileen Lawlor (Kerry), Cait Dwyer (Tipperary), Margaret Lawlor (Kerry), Del White (Kerry), Diane Lanigan, Marian O’Shea, Diana Fenton.

Referees to be asked to next meeting.
