Annual General Meeting 24 February 1991


The Annual General Meeting of  Munster ladies Football Council was held in the Hibernian Hotel, Mallow on Sunday 24 February at 2.00 pm.

Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Tipperary and Clare were represented. As the secretary didn’t bring the minutes book with her, we had no minutes of the previous AGM.

Chairman’s Report
In his report the Chairman brought up the issue of the Junior game between Kerry and Clare.  He said he was disappointed on the way the referee was treated and that another man was asked to referee the game.  He said that he was asked to get the referee’s date and that he was very disappointed that the referee he had got was not acceptable by all.  He then went on to congratulate all the teams.

Treasurer’s Report
The Treasurer went to on to give her report.  She went on to tell us that we were in a very healthy position.  She asked if any one had any outstanding bills to let her know and she would settle them right away.


Secretary’s Report 1991
The secretary went on to congratulate all the teams which achieved Munster honours.  She thanked all the people who made pitches available during the year and also expressed a word of thanks to the referees and any one who helped in anyone during the year.  She also thanked Tony for all his help during the year.

Motions which were passed
That training take place before the inter-provincials begin – Kerry
To appoint a manager for the inter-provincial team – Clare
June/July should be closed to Central Council fixtures – Mick Fitzgerald was appointed manager.

A discussion took place regarding motions to Central Council.  It was vital that if Munster wanted motions to be passed at Central Council, that all delegates from Munster stood together and that we hadn’t enough delegates from each county when it come to a vote.

All affiliations should be in by the l June.

Under 18 – Limerick v Tipperary Saturday 18 July – Kilbanny – Waterford ref
Waterford v Kerry Friday 12 July 7.30 pm – Glanworth – ref. Jas Cummins
Limerick or Tipperary v Cork Saturday July 20 7.30 pm
Clare v Waterford/Kerry Friday 19 July 7.30 pm

Junior – Limerick v Clare Sunday 30 June
Cork v kerry Sunday 30 June

Semi-final – Waterford v Tipperary – Ballymac Wednesday 17 July
If Waterford v Kerry 24 July Kerry venue

Waterford asked that senior games take place in September.

This concluded the business of the meeting

The next meeting was fixed for 13 May 8.30.
