Minutes of Munster Council AGM 1992
The Annual General Meeting of Munster Council was held in the Hibernian Hotel, Mallow on Sunday February 2 at 2.00 pm.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read – proposed by John Power, seconded by Davy Brown.
Those in attendance are as follows: Michael Ryan Waterford, Sandra Allen, Cork, John O’Brien, Cork, David O’Donoghue, Kerry, John Power, Mary O’Dea and Davy Browne, Clare. Hannie Lordan Cork, Noreen O’Gorman, Tipperary and President John Hayes, Clare.
Prior to the meeting, the Limerick delegates contacted the Chairman to say that they would not be able to attend due to funeral commitments. The Chairman opened the meeting by welcoming everybody present. In his address, he stated how it had been a very good year For Munster all round. The Secretary Noreen O’Gorman in a very healthy report congratulated all teams who took titles and she also paid tribute to Cahercon Secondary School of Clare who reached the All Ireland final in 1991. After the election of officers, Michael Ryan paid a special tribute to Hannie Lordan for her years as Treasurer. He said she was the most honest and fairest person involved in ladies football and was very devoted to her position as treasurer. He also paid tribute to Noreen O’Gorman, the outgoing secretary and thanked her for her 4 years as secretary. At this point the President Johnny Hayes endorsed what Michael Ryan had said, and said that they were a credit.
