Munster Club 7 a side competition senior, intermediate & junior 2010
The inaugural club 7 a side competition at senior, intermediate and junior was held at the splendid setting at Duneske, Cahir, Co. Tipperary. Clubs from five Counties in the Province participated. The weather had a little of everything during the course of the day. Special mention must go the Cahir Ladies Gaelic football club led by Chairman Liam Shinnick for their superb support throughout the competitions and to Martin Halpin grounds man who ensured all pitches were in perfect working order for the feast of football exhibited.
The following clubs participated and by all accounts are looking forward to the 2011 competitions. Tramore (Waterford), Ardfinnan (Tipperary), Templemore (Tipperary), Moyle Rovers (Tipperary), Listowel Emmets (Kerry), Cahir (Tipperary), Carrigtwohill (Cork), Cappawhite (Tipperary), Glanmire (Cork), Shannon Gaels (Clare), Cappawhite (Tipperary), Cahir (Tipperary), Ballymacarbry (Waterford)

The following Munster Officers officiated through the course of the day President Dan O Mahony, Michael Ryan, George Young, Mary Shinnick, Nathalie Finn, Dan Cannon, Pat Pigott, Liam Shinnick & Maire Halvey ably assisted by the Cahir Ladies club of Karl McCarthy, Martin Halpin, Margaret O Connor, Mairead McInery, John O Donoghue, Jane O Gorman, Mary O Donnell, Emma Corcoran, Karina Buckley, Anthony Corcoran, Martin O Keeffe, John Murphy, Lorna & Orla McInery, Derek Higgins, Joe Murphy, Tara Armitage, John O Connor & Tony Fox.
The referees who officiated were: Keith Delahunty, Mike Duffy, Gene Buckley, Shane Florish, Kevin Martin, Richie O Connor, Tony Fox, Kieran Keane, Pat Lynch, Shane Hehir & Jimmy Butler
As with all competitions finance is a major factor and in relation to this a sincere thanks to John Quirke Jeweller & Azzurri Sport for their contributions.
Liam Shinnick on behalf of Cahir ladies & John Quirke made a presentation to Munster Secretary Maire Halvey in recognition of her work in the staging of the Provincial club 7 a side.
Munster President Dan O Mahony thanked and congratulated the Cahir Ladies club for their massive help and support from the beginning, thanked his own officers and congratulated the clubs for their sporting participation and informed all of being part of further Munster Ladies history. He also acknowledged the contribution of club football by the Ballymacarbry ladies club and said it was fitting that Ballymacarbry would be the first name on the senior cup. The President concluded informing the clubs of the 2011 Munster club 7 a side pencilled in for the last weekend of June and that the National fixtures were informed and requested to keep that weekend free. All were wished a safe journey home and best wishes with their respective clubs.
