Umpire Training Night
"MLGFA Umpire training night" 
MLGFA held a first training and information night for umpires at the Maldron Hotel, Limerick on Saturday night January 29th 2011. Umpires along with referees from most corners of the Province attended with a total of 48 participating.
Pat Pigott Director of referees for Ladies Gaelic football went through a power point presentation which lasted approximately 70 minutes. This presentation highlighted the importance our umpires role is with the referee on any match day situation. Handouts of information to umpires, linespeople and 4th officials were available for all participants. On conclusion medals were presented to referees present who officiated finals throughout the Province in 2010 and Michael Ryan made the presentation's to Jason Mullins, Mike Duffy, Shane Florish, Mike O Keeffe, Keith Delahunty, Gene Buckley, Kevin Martin with the night rounding off with food and refreshments.
